Java Developer

Continuing its expansion, Cirro, Inc. is looking to hire a skilled and motivated, full-time Software
Developer to help us produce our cutting edge products in the Big Data market.

Cirro, Inc. is an exciting and fun place to work and advance your career. We develop leading edge
products in the data warehousing and Big Data market which, for the first time, enables business
analysts and Excel users to query and analyze their data across multiple databases and types of
databases (including Hadoop and other NoSQL products), wherever it is located. This role requires

You will work alongside a small fast-paced team developing a new software solution within the Data
Warehousing field. The company is located within a bike ride of the beach, in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

Responsibilities:

Customer Solutions Engineer

Cirro Inc., A Data Warehouse/ Big Data startup in south Orange County, is looking to hire a highly
motivated Customer Solutions Engineer to be part of our Customer Services team. In this role you will be responsible  for working with customers in technical presales as well as post sales implementation. This is a ground up position that requires hands on customer engagement as well as good customer facing
and presentation skills. The individual must be highly motivated, well versed in data warehousing,
big data & analytics, have previous start-up experience and ready for a challenge. You will be a
member of the customer solutions team and work alongside a small fast-paced group focused on
providing leading edge solutions to customers for integrating any type of data, on any platform, in any
environment.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivery of presales and post sales technical services including proof of concepts
  • Creating customer support and technical presales infrastructure and tools
  • Development of best practices
  • Development and delivery of education and training
  • Communicating with engineering to provide direct feedback from the field
  • Providing a positive customer experience that results in satisfied and referencable customers

QA Tester

Continuing its expansion, Cirro, Inc. is looking to hire a skilled and motivated, full-time QA Test Engineer to help
us ensure that our products are delivered with the highest possible quality.

Cirro, Inc. is an exciting and fun place to work and advance your career. It is producing a market-leading product
in the data warehousing and Big Data arena which, for the first time, enables business analysts and Excel users
to query and analyze their data across multiple databases and types of databases (including Hadoop and other
NoSQL products) , wherever it is located. You will be working in a small, fast-paced, start-up team reporting to
the QA Manager, collaborating with developers and Customer Support. The company is located within a bike
ride of the beach, in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

You must have a passion for quality with demonstrable experience in QA processes, designing, writing and
maintaining automated JUnit tests, and SQL. You need to be a good oral and written communicator and have
the people skills to match, learn quickly, and work efficiently and effectively both independently and in a team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Gaining a thorough understanding of our products and their architecture in order to produce good use cases and test plans that will ensure our products are of the highest quality
  • Designing, coding and maintaining automated and manual test cases using JUnit and similar tools
  • Configuring, executing, and enhancing test suites and frameworks, and performing directed and exploratory manual testing of new features, repairs, and documentation
  • Identifying and recording defects, summarizing and communicating results, and coordinating efforts of team members to ensure timely and complete resolution of defects
  • Working with other members of the Engineering Department to improve quality, testability, and maintainability of code, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing them
  • Ensuring that quality is a priority and built into all stages of the development lifecycle
  • Performing basic project management tasks including planning, resource estimating, and status reporting

Your required skill set includes:

  • A passion for product quality; an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Proven 2+ years of hands-on QA experience testing back-end modules or products, including white and gray box testing, and writing automated tests using Java and JUnit
  • 1+ year writing and implementing effective test plans and test cases
  • Demonstrable knowledge of RDBMS principles and SQL at an intermediate level
  • Solid skills in analysis, decision-making, and problem solving, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others

Pluses:

  • Previous experience in a start-up environment
  • Linux bash shell scripting and experience with working at the command line in the Linux environment
